Anita Neuman

My family and friends are no longer shocked by anything I say. Announcements such as “I’m going to South Africa for two weeks” used to get responses like “How can you possibly leave your husband with two pre-schoolers while he’s trying to run a home business?” When we began planning to move to Ethiopia for two years, the responses were somewhat less subdued: “You’re crazy, but have a great time.” I imagine when word started to get around that we were in the process of adopting two children, no one even batted an eye. “Good for them. Pass the potatoes.”
So now that the dramatic effect has worn off for my family, and my in-laws have grown weary of blaming me for the drama in my husband’s life, I feel called to share my stories with a broader audience. I am deeply passionate about sharing what God has done in my life, and my greatest joy is being used by Him to share His love. I love to get an audience laughing, and I usually (okay, always) start crying at some point as well. Ahhh, few things are more delightful than reducing an estrogen-packed room to emotional hysteria.
If you are looking for a speaker for your women’s conference, retreat, seminar, or other event, I would love to discuss your ideas with you. No matter the size of the crowd, God has always blessed and encouraged me through the women I meet. I seek no personal glory, but only pray that God will allow me to carry His treasure in this simple, cracked pot. |
